FairBill ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use the FairBill mobile application and website.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). We do not store your password — authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.

Bill Files & Content

When you upload a bill for analysis, we receive and store the file (PDF, image, or text) in secure cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). This content is used solely to provide you the analysis service. You may delete your bills at any time from within the app.

Usage Data

• Device type and operating system
• App version and session activity
• Push notification tokens (if you opt in)

• To run AI-powered analysis on bills you submit
• To generate dispute letters and savings summaries
• To send you push notifications about your analysis results
• To maintain and improve the service
• To respond to support requests

AI Processing

Bill content is sent to Google's Gemini AI models for analysis. This processing is governed by Google's applicable usage policies. We do not use your bill data to train AI models.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Clerk — account authentication and identity
• Cloudflare R2 — secure file storage
• Google Gemini — AI analysis (bill content only)
• Law enforcement — if required by applicable law

We retain your account data and uploaded bills for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual bills at any time from the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at privacy@fairbill.app.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Bill files are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability (where applicable)

FairBill is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of FairBill after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
